Common questions

Answers to the most common support questions.

  • Open the app → tap the profile/settings icon → select Settings → tap Delete Account. You'll be asked to re-authenticate once as a security step, then confirm. This immediately and permanently deletes all your items, photos, and account information from our servers — no waiting period. If you're unable to access the app, email us at support@materialmerge.com and we'll delete your data manually.
  • On the login screen, tap Forgot Password? and enter your email address. You'll receive a password reset email within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive. The reset link expires after 1 hour.
  • Yes. Tap the banner at the top of the app that says "Save your progress" (or go to Settings → Create Account). You can convert to an email/password account or link your Google account. All your items are preserved automatically — nothing is lost during conversion.
  • Photos are stored in the cloud and require an internet connection to load. Try: (1) check your internet connection; (2) force-close and reopen the app; (3) sign out and sign back in. If photos are missing after re-signing in, please contact us — this may indicate a sync issue we can investigate.
  • Yes. Go to Settings → Account Settings → Change Email. You'll need to re-enter your current password to confirm the change. The new email takes effect immediately.
  • Go to Settings → Account Settings → Sign-In Methods. Tap Link Google Account. Once linked, you can sign in with either your email/password or Google. Both methods access the same account and data.
  • First, try: (1) force-close and reopen the app; (2) check for an app update in the App Store; (3) restart your device. If the problem persists, email us at support@materialmerge.com with your device model, iOS version, and a description of what you were doing when it crashed. Screenshots or screen recordings are extremely helpful.
  • Email us at support@materialmerge.com with the subject "Data Export Request" and your account email. We'll provide an export of your personal data within 30 days, as required by applicable law.
